It’s National Breakfast Week this week!
Here are three tasty ideas to inspire and help brighten up your breakfasts:
1) Peanut-Banana Porridge
For an everyday treat, try adding a tablespoon of peanut butter to your porridge, and top with sliced banana and a drizzle of honey. The result? A nutty, creamy and filling start to your day, packed full of protein
2) Overnight Oats
Like to grab something quick on your way out of the door? Before you go to bed, mix jumbo oats, yoghurt and milk together (try 1/3 of each to start with). Add some extra flavours like cinnamon, raisins and a teaspoon of honey, and place in the fridge (this works really well in a jar!). The next morning, you have a perfect breakfast to start the day that you can take with you on the move. There are endless combinations of toppings so you’ll never get bored!
3) Extraordinary Scrambled Eggs
For a luxurious weekend breakfast, toast some sourdough from Mark’s Bread (I love their South Bristol Sourdough), scramble some eggs, and top with some smoked trout from Stream Farm. Perfect served with fresh coffee, a good book or a crossword.
