We’re really excited to be involved in this year’s Bristol Food Connections festival in a number of ways.
Firstly, we’re on the Food Trail, which means if you are a new member and buy a Food Card (just £5!), you can save 10% off your first two orders (provided the first order is made during Bristol Food Connections festival – 29th April til 7th May). This applies to the following groups – Central, St Pauls, Easton, Barton Hill, Montpelier, Emersons Green, Fishponds and Greenway. You’ll also have access to over 90 other discounts across the city, so it’s a great opportunity!
In addition, we’re hosting two Fringe events at out Avonmouth Group. Firstly, a cooking class with Greg from Cook, Eat and Travel on Wednesday 4th May, looking at sweet snacks without the sugar. Then on Thursday 5th May, there’ll be an activity exploring our connections in the food system and tasters from the producers.
Our coordinator Steph is on a panel discussion at the Going For Gold good food conference, and our team is also heading to the Community Food Education and Practical Steps to a Local Food Future events on College Green.
If that’s not enough for you, Steph is holding a photography exhibition, displaying portraits of local producers in two locations that serve and sell local food, so swing by Poco or Source to take a look.
