We are a business, of course, but we would like to think that we offer a friendly and ethically sound service that helps the Somerset community thrive.
Want to supply the Real Economy?
We are always on the look out for local suppliers, especially those who have an interesting story about their produce or are small enterprises that are just getting going. The Real Economy team are on hand to help you get your profile up and running.
What do you need to do to sell to Real Economy?
Create a short profile for your business to encourage our food club members to source their food from you.
Send us a stock list of what you have to offer and we will then talk to you about how to keep this up to date and about prices and margins.
It is best if you set up a Bristol Pound account so that you can receive payment instantly and traceably from the Real Economy’s Bristol Pound account. This means the money can stay within the Bristol region. We have dedicated team of people to help you receive and pass on Bristol Pounds, or convert them back to sterling if you need to. We can work in sterling if necessary, but payment will be slower.
You will receive an order first thing on Tuesday morning for delivery to our Food Hub in the Corn Exchange by midday on a Thursday
What are the benefits to you?
Real Economy opens up a new market of customers in Bristol, who order regularly.
You decide the sale price of your produce after discussion with us about margins, can update exactly what you have available, and can decide what your minimum order is.
Your produce will not sit around in a shop but will be delivered to our customers within hours of our receiving it.
We are looking to build a sense of community between our members and local producers and this will strengthen customer loyalty.
